Industrial Licensing Requirements in Saudi Arabia

Required Documents

  1. The following documents are required from you:
    1. A certified copy of the shareholding partner's commercial registration must be certified by the Saudi Embassy.
    2. A copy of the national identity card of the partner who is a natural person and holds nationality from one of the GCC countries (if their information is not recorded in the ABSHAR system).
  2. The financial statements for the previous financial year of the foreign company, which must be certified by the Saudi Embassy, must also be provided.

Rules and Restrictions

  1. If any of the partners have previously obtained a license from the Ministry of Investment, this information must be included in the partner information when submitting the electronic application.
  2. Those holding premium residency status are exempt from providing the documents mentioned above.
  3. During the electronic application submission, you must enter the Saudi national identity/premium residency/residency data of the partner(s) or the commercial registration data for the participating Saudi companies.
  4. The applicant must approach the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to obtain an industrial license and the General Presidency of Meteorology and Environmental Protection to secure environmental approval.
